The supporters of Bandung Tigers booed when Greencard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malin Kundang didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Yoppie Duaramuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandung Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Yoppie Duaramuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nanang Wardhana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gendo Matulessy during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Bandung Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gendo Matulessy to maneuver through the defense. Hatta Arnawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tora Suarlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tora Suarlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hatta Arnawa having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tora Suarlan to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Tora Suarlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatta Arnawa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Ilham Mahuse made a precise shot to the right of Hatta Arnawa. Bandung Tigers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Greencard made a substitution. Noah-Leon Hutagalung replaced Mamat Wirayudha. In the 63rd minute Immanuel Mandias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatta Arnawa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandung Tigers's Hatta Arnawa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tora Suarlan in the 66th minute of play. Kiki Murtopo was slow to take the kick. During this time Bandung Tigers's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bandung Tigers's Satria Muttaqien to fire away a dangerous shot which Nanang Wardhana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Markus Husodo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandung Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greencard the free kick.
