With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicanor Loiola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wiliam Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicanor Loiola having to make a save. Ayat Sungkawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baykal Acabey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Syahrul Pattinasarani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. With an all-out effort, Jakarta Wolf SC's Nicanor Loiola threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiliam Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adam Dailey got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Robby Darwis. In the 44th minute, Baykal Acabey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ayat Sungkawa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ayat Sungkawa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baykal Acabey, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Adam Dailey fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BASEL FC's protests and gave Adam Dailey a yellow card for diving instead. Adam Dailey hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Syahrul Pattinasarani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicanor Loiola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the game Mihail Dumitras made a throw-in which Niculae Fărcășan played forward. The BASEL FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jakarta Wolf SC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
