Matias Eder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Souza in the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justo Sagrario made a kick off. Gustavo Chabier hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Matias Eder was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dudu Queiroz. Mauro de Salles had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Cayetano Remir's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 58th minute, Cayetano Remir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águilas Poblanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Wilson Vidal sped through Águilas Poblanas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matias Eder. When Telmo Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Iguaçu MZFC's protests and gave Telmo Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. Telmo Barbosa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Zé Carlos Cordeiro put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Matias Eder. When Dudu Queiroz fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Iguaçu MZFC's protests and gave Dudu Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Cayetano Remir, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Matias Eder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Wilson Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Eder having to interfere.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
