Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Youri Djorkaeff in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Unai Simon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Avel Vat's zone, Nesto Campoamor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moïse Labruyère came out of the goal and Nesto Campoamor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Minier in the 12th minute of play forced LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Unai Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Edmond Kubiak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Unai Simon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Unai Simon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Kubiak in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Ramone Nadal got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Kubiak in the 22nd minute of play forced LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Unai Simon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Edmond Kubiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Guillaume Minier hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Youri Djorkaeff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unai Simon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikel Oyarzabal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Moïse Labruyère made a huge save. 33 minutes into the game, Edmond Kubiak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avel Vat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LVCVS AVGVSTI the free kick. The supporters of LVCVS AVGVSTI booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Kubiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unai Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Djorkaeff, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Abad Bellido charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abad Bellido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Abad Bellido got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Ilan Champion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39th play minutes Youri Djorkaeff shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Unai Simon and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Avel Vat were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikel Oyarzabal to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikel Oyarzabal in the 52nd minute of play forced Avel Vat's goalkeeper Moïse Labruyère to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillaume Minier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Unai Simon having to interfere. Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Edmond Kubiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avel Vat's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmond Kubiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Unai Simon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 61 in the game by Youri Djorkaeff from a close distance when the talented Unai Simon managed to make a qualified save. LVCVS AVGVSTI's players were relieved. Unai Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Djorkaeff in the 65th minute of the match. Unai Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmond Kubiak in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Djorkaeff came free, but Unai Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikel Oyarzabal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, LVCVS AVGVSTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikel Oyarzabal to maneuver through the defense. Unai Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youri Djorkaeff, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 94 played minutes LVCVS AVGVSTI got a freekick which was hit by Arnas Maestro. Unai Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Djorkaeff in the 97th minute of play.
The LVCVS AVGVSTI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Avel Vat were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
