Gil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Salomon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arif Bilge Işın got free with Gavino Frederico in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gil's goalkeeper Gavino Frederico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ruperto Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gil's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Salomon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cengizhan Terzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 24th play minutes Ruperto Salomon shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Cengizhan Terzi and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Canakci booed when Gil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muharrem Sadi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Frederico having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Arif Bilge Işın got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Canakci's zone, Desiderio Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cengizhan Terzi came out of the goal and Desiderio Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Muharrem Sadi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Frederico. Gil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Muharrem Sadi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gavino Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Sadi in the 54th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Canakci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sacit Karabugra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Salomon in the 62nd minute of play forced Canakci's goalkeeper Cengizhan Terzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Frederico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Muharrem Sadi's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Muharrem Sadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Frederico having to interfere. Gil's Ruperto Salomon got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Americo Maiorga hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Gil's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Bilge Işın came free, but Gavino Frederico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
