Dionisio Quirce charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dionisio Quirce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dionisio Quirce hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gualterio Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Martxelin having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Nicolas Llin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Llin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas Llin came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aquilino Martxelin could save by the left post. Gaston Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Lluterio in the 27th minute of play. With his leg Aquilino Martxelin managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when RIVER PLATE FC's Nicolas Llin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Copacabana's Aquilino Martxelin got control of the ball when Nicolas Llin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 35 in the game by Nicolas Llin from a close distance when the talented Aquilino Martxelin managed to make a qualified save. Copacabana's players were relieved. In the 37th minute, Urbano Clemencin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Nicolas Llin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicolas Llin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Martxelin having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolas Llin to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Braulio Pasqual recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaston Aguilera. Braulio Pasqual showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 58th match minute, Copacabana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Thomas to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st match minute, RIVER PLATE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Mundo to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Lluterio succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. A collision led to Copacabana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Braulio Pasqual hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Carlos Heriberto hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 4-3 became the score in the 79th minute when Nicolas Llin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Copacabana's Aquilino Martxelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Llin in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Llin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Martxelin was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Gualterio Mundo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Copacabana's Alfredo Lluterio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julian Opilanos short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Gaston Aguilera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aquilino Martxelin came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by RIVER PLATE FC's Nicolas Llin. But to his dismay, Nicolas Llin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RIVER PLATE FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Copacabana had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
