After 24 minutes of play, Varennes's Lee Coffman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Iago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aquiles Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loic Deal in the 27th minute of play. Atlético Nacional's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Lee Coffman scored to the left of an out of position Aquiles Iago, making the score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Sandy Hendrix got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Tadeo Barea kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A hard shot by Lee Coffman from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Aquiles Iago's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nemesio Damario made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Varennes's Brad Elliott. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleto Efren made a kick off. A collision led to Varennes getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Randell McCullough hit a great ball. Aquiles Iago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randell McCullough in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Randell McCullough hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Efren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Celestino Rudolfo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varennes the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Celestino Rudolfo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Efren in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Cleto Efren made a precise shot to the right of Brice Leach. Varennes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Aquiles Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Coffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Aquiles Iago came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Varennes's Loic Deal. But to his dismay, Loic Deal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 92nd match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Efren to maneuver through the defense. Aquiles Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Coffman, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Aquiles Iago came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Varennes's Loic Deal. But to his dismay, Loic Deal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1.
