The audience thought a goal was coming when Wágner Breckenfeld got free with Markus Fågel in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Melquiades Amor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Polly Magoo Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Genko Balevski came free, but Markus Fågel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gösta Bergman took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melquiades Amor. Melquiades Amor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Markus Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genko Balevski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Genko Balevski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Markus Fågel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were awarded a corner. Fernandinho Botelho went to the cornerflag to take it. Wágner Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Tunberg came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA booed when Polly Magoo Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Bredberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polly Magoo Juniors's Markus Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Fenomeno in the 26th minute of play. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute, Valério Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Hulk Fenomeno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Markus Fågel. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Polly Magoo Juniors's Markus Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genko Balevski in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omero Zubiaga to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Fågel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Wágner Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Jan-Erik Tunberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polly Magoo Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gösta Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Gösta Bergman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polly Magoo Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Bergman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Polly Magoo Juniors getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Conny Rudkvist hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Polly Magoo Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Botelho came free, but Markus Fågel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were awarded a corner. Fernandinho Botelho went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 82nd minute, Beto Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omero Zubiaga's late challenge caught a CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omero Zubiaga helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Polly Magoo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Omero Zubiaga.
