After a rather tough play, Cesate's Antonio Talone got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genko Balevski in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Carciofo saved Cesate from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genko Balevski in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Carciofo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Carciofo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Thorvaldsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Genko Balevski made the kick off in the second half. Demetrio Borrelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Melquiades Amor made a huge save. Hulk Fenomeno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Carciofo having to make a save. In the 73rd minute Ulysses Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Carciofo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hulk Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genko Balevski might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Carciofo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genko Balevski ran back to his position shaking his head.
