Thanks to some nice moves Carmelo Claus could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Başar Eyüpoğlu however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Carmelo Claus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Başar Eyüpoğlu. That made the score 1-0 after 40 minutes of play. Hulk Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luigi Gatti having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hulk Paraíba in the 46th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Luigi Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Berdoi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Fulgencio Berdoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luigi Gatti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hulk Paraíba in the 94th minute.
