Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Micael, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberigo Prosperi in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erling Håning prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Robinho Urbano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 50th minute. Capibaribe Stars's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aldao's Erling Håning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Urbano in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Aldao got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Encea. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Alberigo Prosperi put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Erling Håning. Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. The crowd rose to their feet as Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erling Håning. That made the score 0-16 after 90 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohamed Basso in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Håning saved Aldao from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Capibaribe Stars left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aldao.
