The supporters of Joinville S.German-FSCMZ booed when Donzela de Ferro FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Basajaun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Carlos Germano made a huge save. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Carlos Germano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Donzela de Ferro FBPA from getting a goal against them. Freddy Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Basajaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Germano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Basajaun ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Basajaun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Carlos Germano made a huge save. Freddy Basajaun scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Germano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique de Lima came free, but Benny Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Freddy Basajaun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 38th minute Freddy Basajaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benny Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique de Lima in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique de Lima made a kick off. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Aguiar in the 61st minute of the match. Rafa Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Rafa Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes in the game Tomás Amaral did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Henrique de Lima. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Basajaun in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Tomás Amaral got a free kick in the 75th minute. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ made a substitution. Michel Hazard replaced Allan Blom. In the 77th match minute, Donzela de Ferro FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Amaral to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Benny Stolpe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Peres. Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Obregón Hondona quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Glauco Munhoz, made in the 88th minute of the game. Vladimir Albuquerque took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Albuquerque in the 92nd minute of play forced Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Joinville S.German-FSCMZ's Enrique Loureiro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
