The audience thought a goal was coming when Larkins Potter got free with José Maria Branco in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Larkins Potter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Maria Branco. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Elias Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Donatello in the 12th minute of the match. Elias Urdaspal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Larkins Potter got free with José Maria Branco in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Mandrak made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Wara's Cheb El-Hadi. In the 31st minute of the match, Faouzi Louahla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Maria Branco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Donatello in the 36th minute of play forced Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faouzi Louahla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised José Maria Branco 38 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Bem Bolado:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wara:s goal. Marcel Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Elias Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larkins Potter in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Donatello in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Urdaspal saved Wara from getting behind. José Maria Branco came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Wara's Larkins Potter. But to his dismay, Larkins Potter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 61st minute Faouzi Louahla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larkins Potter, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Sanches in the 72nd minute of play forced Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Larkins Potter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Branco was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After having played for 80 minutes, Cláudio Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bem Bolado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larkins Potter in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Alves got free with Elias Urdaspal in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Wara booed when Bem Bolado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bem Bolado's José Maria Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larkins Potter in the 87th minute of play. José Maria Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larkins Potter in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bem Bolado defense, Larkins Potter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Branco. The Bem Bolado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Branco should have stopped the shot. The Wara players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
