The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Sebastean Staniok put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Redbull Sala a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Generoso Garcia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gettrup SIK's Torben Drieø. 0-1. If Kaodilinakachukwu Elin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torben Drieø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaodilinakachukwu Elin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After the first half Redbull Sala were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Gettrup SIK booed when Redbull Sala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahto Ylipikk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Ejvind Haversen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Redbull Sala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Torben Drieø was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alphan Alpaslan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alphan Alpaslan got free with Torben Drieø in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Lundgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kim Enehøj went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Gettrup SIK made a substitution. Lukas Oschlag replaced Isak Krontoft. David Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Oschlag in the 96th minute of play. The Redbull Sala players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
