After 11 minutes, Paolo Rossi made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. 1670 Nassau's Chaba Messaoudi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Chaba Messaoudi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Rossi in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Paolo Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chaba Messaoudi was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. F.C. 1670 Nassau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniil Fomin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Paolo Rossi took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Chaba Messaoudi to make any attempt to save it. Andrey Dvoryankin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şerif Durusan in the 40th minute of play. Nassim Hamrouche hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Paolo Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chaba Messaoudi was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. F.C. 1670 Nassau's Chaba Messaoudi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trond Bom in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniil Fomin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chaba Messaoudi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Chaba Messaoudi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57thth minute of the game Paolo Rossi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. 1670 Nassau's Chaba Messaoudi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. 1670 Nassau's zone, Paolo Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaba Messaoudi came out of the goal and Paolo Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Paolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chaba Messaoudi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Rossi in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Paolo Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chaba Messaoudi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chaba Messaoudi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Rossi in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, F.C. 1670 Nassau's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Chaba Messaoudi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniil Fomin in the 69th minute of play forced F.C. 1670 Nassau's goalkeeper Chaba Messaoudi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mohammed Zemmamouche was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. 1670 Nassau's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to F.C. 1670 Nassau's Firmin Guérin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. 1670 Nassau players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arsenal F.C..
