SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Chano in the 36th minute of play. Nilson Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 47 minutes into the match, Gervasio Chano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilson Dracena. SE Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gervasio Chano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sirius Dog's Matias Azibar was substituted for Emiliano Oliviero. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

For all the effort they put into the match, the SE Palmeiras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sirius Dog.
