Marcelo Gröhe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elias Tharaldsen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 27 minute of play. Elias Tharaldsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Gröhe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Elias Tharaldsen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Gröhe, 2-2. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Messi couldn't finish the play. Independente FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
