After 6 played minutes Montesacro FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Bussi. 9 minutes into the match, Lobo Zornoza notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova. Giacomo Casanova was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Fontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Rossi in the 25th minute of play forced CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Célio Fontes to make the kick off. Paolo Rossi in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Kiko Tande replaced Célio Fontes. 91 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's Paolo Rossi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Montesacro FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
