Rolf Hamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Cellucci having to interfere. In the 17th minute Jairo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Cellucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Rolf Hamberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granville's Andrea Cellucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cassandros Elite Team's Jairo Veiga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrea Cellucci. Andrea Cellucci yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Cassandros Elite Team's Rolf Hamberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 33rd minute, Chi-Chi Branca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olavo Pinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Generoso Eder hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Rolf Hamberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Andrea Cellucci made a huge save.

Granville made a substitution. Julio Cruz replaced Justino Frichoso. Andrea Cellucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Veiga in the 52nd minute of play. Granville were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Cassandros Elite Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esteve Lia took the corner. Andrea Cellucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Hamberg in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Rolf Hamberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Cellucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Cellucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Hamberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 68th minute, Josué Pedroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrea Cellucci was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 71 played minutes Granville got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Banegas. 74 minutes into the match, Granville's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Pedroso came free, but Andrea Cellucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Pedroso in the 82nd minute of play forced Granville's goalkeeper Andrea Cellucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Cellucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Hamberg's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Andrea Cellucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Hamberg in the 90th minute of play. Jairo Veiga was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Olavo Pinto made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Mauro Elazar sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th match minute, Cassandros Elite Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Bandeira to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cassandros Elite Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Granville had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
