In the 13th minute Justino Frichoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Granville's Rene Barea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chi-Chi Branca was slow to take the kick. During this time Granville's players had a chance to rest. Granville's Chi-Chi Branca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eurico lago in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chi-Chi Branca got free with Eurico lago in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Pepe Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Cellucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Bomba in the 33rd minute of play forced Granville's goalkeeper Andrea Cellucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Cellucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepe Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Granville's Julio Cruz was substituted for Justino Frichoso. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Elazar to make the kick off. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Barto Sánchez hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Artemio Banegas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Granville's Andrea Cellucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Yan Feng in the 61st minute of play. Eurico lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Barea in the 62nd minute of the match. Serafino Urko struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Eurico lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granville. The audience was convinced that Mauro Elazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eurico lago was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Serafino Urko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico lago. FC Beatriz 08's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafino Urko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Serafino Urko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrea Cellucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pepe Bomba in the 76th minute. If Karl Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Márcio Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Granville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes FC Beatriz 08 got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Cordeiro. In the 89th minute Mauro Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Mauro Elazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Beatriz 08's Eurico lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the FC Beatriz 08 defense, Serafino Urko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico lago. The FC Beatriz 08 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico lago should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Eurico lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Granville's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
