Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paulo Godoi kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Gabriel Corderro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Erland Sagbakken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evripidis Picoulas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Saladillo FC's Prospero Hug slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Allan Varela. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Godoi in the 21st minute of play forced Atletico Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Erland Sagbakken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes, Paulo Godoi made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atletico Saladillo FC's Erland Sagbakken tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Hug got free with Allan Varela in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Chorche in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Boyisana Mnisi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erland Sagbakken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Atletico Saladillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Erland Sagbakken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Palestra do Interior got a corner. Atletico Saladillo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hudson Sergipano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Corderro to make the kick off. Paulo Godoi took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erland Sagbakken. Erland Sagbakken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 69th minute, Danilo Austin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago was substituted for Paulo Godoi. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Atletico Saladillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prospero Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Corderro in the 74th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Atletico Saladillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Elixio. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erland Sagbakken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Atletico Saladillo FC made a substitution. Mateo Ekialde replaced Prospero Hug. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Herbert Pankowski got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Mateo Ekialde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Saladillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Ekialde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Atletico Saladillo FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Danilo Austin hit a great ball. Vitório Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Erland Sagbakken made a huge save. Erland Sagbakken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitório Lago's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Vitório Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vitório Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Erland Sagbakken made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palestra do Interior eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
