Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jânio Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Pirani in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Afonsinho Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isaltino Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Pirani in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arrigo Marrone in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Irreal Madrid's Noel Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrizio Canzano in the 38th minute of play. Afonsinho Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Matheus Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Villa Gordiani's Franco Cacciatore was substituted for Ciro Esposito. The wind increased when Arrigo Marrone made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Isaltino Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irreal Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaltino Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Casillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Pirani came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Pirani in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Isaltino Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irreal Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã de Salles to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Noel Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrizio Canzano. In the 74th minute Isaltino Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Pirani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Casillas having to make a save. Irreal Madrid made a substitution. Szabolcs Csank replaced Matheus Dionísio. Noel Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Marrone, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Irreal Madrid's Alfredo Secco was substituted for Isaltino Pirani. Linus Blomqvist's late challenge caught a Irreal Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Linus Blomqvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, one of Villa Gordiani:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Villa Gordiani. The Irreal Madrid support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
