In the 18th minute Han Hui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 21 minutes on the clock, Leonardo Varela commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 38th minute, Truls Kirkemo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Ignacio Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Han Hui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Marcelo Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Han Hui recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Galvão. Han Hui showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A. Calamuchita's Han Hui slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Galvão. That made the score 0-4 after 79 minutes of play. Marcelo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Perrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Itajaí Football Club defense, Ignacio Perrando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Galvão. The Itajaí Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Galvão should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Gilberto Arce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Kicia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Calamuchita's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
