Pogoń Staszów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stig-Åke Blanck ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Stig-Åke Blanck almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pogoń Staszów's Cyryl Kaider did a great save. Lucrețiu Ignătoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Rodrigues in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute Arsenal FC were awarded a corner. Stig-Åke Blanck went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Sixten Liljeström heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 19 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Dembowski came free, but Lucrețiu Ignătoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pogoń Staszów's Cyryl Kaider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xesus Coya in the 23rd minute of play. Lucrețiu Ignătoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Balotelli in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Albino Macario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pogoń Staszów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28th minute Xesus Coya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyryl Kaider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pogoń Staszów getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Franciszek Lichucki hit a great ball. Sixten Liljeström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cyryl Kaider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Albino Macario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal FC's Lucrețiu Ignătoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Pogoń Staszów were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xesus Coya to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucrețiu Ignătoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Rodrigues in the 51st minute of the match. Lucrețiu Ignătoiu was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Albino Macario capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albino Macario really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. With a little luck, Arsenal FC's Lucrețiu Ignătoiu got control of the ball when Albino Macario tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Pogoń Staszów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucrețiu Ignătoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Macario, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń Staszów's zone, Xesus Coya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cyryl Kaider came out of the goal and Xesus Coya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 minutes, Sixten Liljeström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal FC and the Pogoń Staszów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pogoń Staszów's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
