An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Malmberg in the 6th minute of play forced Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Friesenwerdermoor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Witomir Arnista was slow to take the kick. During this time Newcastle United F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. After 11 played minutes Newcastle United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Glanselius. Jamal Roye came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rasmus Sigman could save by the left post. In the 16th minute, Hermann Luscher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Goethe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aydın Tor's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Rasmus Sigman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Gerster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aydın Tor scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Goethe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Friesenwerdermoor's Hermann Luscher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rasmus Sigman. Rasmus Sigman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Friesenwerdermoor's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatan Malmberg came free, but Prospero Goethe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Goethe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Vennerlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aydın Tor in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Prospero Goethe saved Friesenwerdermoor from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Aydın Tor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prospero Goethe. Friesenwerdermoor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aydın Tor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Friesenwerdermoor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newcastle United F.C. were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamal Roye was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Newcastle United F.C. booed when Friesenwerdermoor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingemar Mense didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Friesenwerdermoor's Prospero Goethe got control of the ball when Fredrik Glanselius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Friesenwerdermoor's Prospero Goethe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Friesenwerdermoor from getting a goal against them. Rasmus Sigman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennard Rossmanith, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermann Luscher in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rasmus Sigman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when Newcastle United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Glanselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Newcastle United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. Tom Gerster took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rasmus Sigman. Rasmus Sigman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Joakim Vennerlund hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Joakim Vennerlund kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Newcastle United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jamal Roye came free, but Rasmus Sigman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Schade kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Friesenwerdermoor's goalkeeper Prospero Goethe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aydın Tor. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermann Luscher in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rasmus Sigman saved Newcastle United F.C. from getting behind. Fredrik Glanselius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United F.C.'s Aydın Tor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prospero Goethe. That made the score 3-3 after 93 minutes of play.
