An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Urtungo in the 12th minute of play forced 12 Monkeys's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Weterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hector Quinto fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de la Plata's protests and gave Hector Quinto a yellow card for diving instead. Hector Quinto hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Kristoffer Kildeskov in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fausto Weterio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fausto Weterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Kristoffer Kildeskov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 12 Monkeys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristoffer Kildeskov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, 12 Monkeys's Markus Berglund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fausto Weterio. Fausto Weterio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 2-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Kristoffer Kildeskov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Markus Berglund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Fausto Weterio made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Markus Berglund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Berglund was the one to do the kick off. If Luciano Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Weterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Frutos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in 12 Monkeys's zone, Flavio Larpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yoto Boshikyov came out of the goal and Flavio Larpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Luciano Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estudiantes de la Plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Urtungo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yoto Boshikyov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Weterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Kildeskov in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, 12 Monkeys's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Urtungo. Fausto Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Kildeskov in the 74th minute of play. Ariel Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Hector Quinto hit a great ball. Balder Buurskov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Fausto Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Urtungo in the 88th minute of play forced 12 Monkeys's goalkeeper Yoto Boshikyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Kildeskov in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to 12 Monkeys getting a freekick after 95 minutes play.
