Miguel Ángel Benito took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maxim Nae. Maxim Nae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Maxim Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ángel Benito in the 9th minute of the match. The throw-in from Ferdinand Corlățean in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cascadia United's Baltasar Piorno. George Stoicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonel Rocco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Stoicu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dacian Cristoloveanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonel Rocco came out and tried to block the shot, but Dacian Cristoloveanu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 26th minute. Maxim Nae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Di Yi in the 31st minute of play. George Stoicu scored 2-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonel Rocco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Stoicu in the 37th minute of play. Maxim Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ángel Benito in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Miguel Ángel Benito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wang Di Yi might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxim Nae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wang Di Yi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Ferdinand Corlățean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Miguel Ángel Benito came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cascadia United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Ángel Benito couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Ángel Benito to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, one of Avantul Hirlau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 55 minutes, George Stoicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantul Hirlau and the Cascadia United players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Dacian Cristoloveanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Ferdinand Corlățean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cascadia United were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Avantul Hirlau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rene Pueblo took the corner. In the 87th minute, one of Avantul Hirlau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avantul Hirlau. Miguel Ángel Benito placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Miguel Ángel Benito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Maxim Nae when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maxim Nae made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Miguel Ángel Benito sent off a good shot on target.
