Miroslav Šípka's late challenge caught a Mercedes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miroslav Šípka helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Burning Angels's Miroslav Šípka got a free kick in the 6th minute. Mercedes's Augusto Ellande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Mercedes from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Pepito Santandres came free, but Augusto Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Alvaro Abar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. František Huba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Alvaro Abar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. František Huba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvaro Abar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Mercedes's Alvaro Abar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that František Huba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Mercedes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Albino Feliu hit a great ball. František Huba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Abar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepito Santandres in the 33rd minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Augusto Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepito Santandres in the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Morais in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg František Huba saved Burning Angels from getting behind. Manuel Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Burning Angels players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mercedes were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepito Santandres to make the kick off.
