Ronaldo de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 26th minute of play. If Robustiano Clementi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Clementi in the 34th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Loco De la Maza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dudu Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Loco De la Maza made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Robustiano Clementi made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Gianluca Vialli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falckner FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gianluca Vialli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Clementi came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94thth minute of the game Robustiano Clementi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 95 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Firme. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vista Alegre FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
