The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emre Can during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Characate FC's Emre Can got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fedor Ivanchuk came free, but Benjamin Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Francesco in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Francesco in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Akinfeev saved Voskresensk FC from getting behind. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Voskresensk FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emre Can was slow to take the kick. During this time Characate FC's players had a chance to rest. Higinio Donio thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Igor Akinfeev, a very annoying self made goal in the 24th minute which led to 0-2. In the 27thth minute of the game Zacarias Francesco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evgeniy Fomichev in the 32nd minute of play forced Characate FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Price to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Akinfeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gleb Sorokin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Benjamin Price when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute of the match Voskresensk FC got a corner. Characate FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gu Xuan Xiong ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Voskresensk FC's corner Gu Xuan Xiong fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamin Price quite easily take care of the ball. After 42 minutes Voskresensk FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emre Can who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Francesco in the 45th minute of play forced Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uriel Paio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gerardo Santikurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Igor Akinfeev made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gleb Sorokin came free, but Benjamin Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Price came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Voskresensk FC's Gleb Sorokin. But to his dismay, Gleb Sorokin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 90th minute Leopoldo Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Akinfeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timofey Solomakhin in the 91st minute of the match. Serafino Paez hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Voskresensk FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
