An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Ruy in the 33rd minute of play forced Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nitra FC made a substitution. Matheus Pitta replaced Nando Pinho. If Yuri Tutorskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Abdul. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Chale was the one to do the kick off. Václav Filipi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Tutorskiy in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Václav Filipi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuri Tutorskiy. After 73 played minutes ATLETICO MENDOZA got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Abdul. ATLETICO MENDOZA's Juanito Azulay was substituted for Baldomiro Enol. 庞思傲 kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Yuri Tutorskiy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximino Ruy in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerônimo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, ATLETICO MENDOZA's goalkeeper Václav Filipi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Williams Ferrari. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
