The supporters of Qatar Dust Kickers booed when Adelaide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Christian didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Adelaide's Brian Brennand got control of the ball when Fergani Dahleb tried to sneak it across the goal line. Soltani Drid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jussef Zemmamouche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Boylin in the 28th minute of play. Mohammed Matoub kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Soltani Drid let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 34th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. After a defensive mix-up in Adelaide's zone, Soltani Drid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Brennand came out of the goal and Soltani Drid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Brennand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilles Tahar in the 43rd minute of play. Soltani Drid's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Brian Brennand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jussef Zemmamouche came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Adelaide's Christian Boylin. But to his dismay, Christian Boylin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carleton Atkin was the one to do the kick off. The Qatar Dust Kickers fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Qatar Dust Kickers's Soltani Drid looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Soltani Drid made a precise shot to the right of Brian Brennand. Adelaide's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Brian Brennand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soltani Drid, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Adelaide's Brian Brennand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Soltani Drid in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fergani Dahleb in the 73rd minute of play forced Adelaide's goalkeeper Brian Brennand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Soltani Drid sped through Adelaide's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brian Brennand. The supporters of Adelaide booed when Qatar Dust Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Matoub didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Soltani Drid in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Brennand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Soltani Drid made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Adelaide's Brian Brennand tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Soltani Drid in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Brennand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the game, Fergani Dahleb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Brian Brennand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Soltani Drid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Qatar Dust Kickers booed when Adelaide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Boylin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes of play, Qatar Dust Kickers's Gilles Tahar made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Brennand was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adelaide's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
