But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabirel Chapital couldn't finish the play. After 13 played minutes CSD Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Warka. Calixto Urquidi scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mingo Camporredondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastian Felin took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mingo Camporredondo. Mingo Camporredondo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Calixto Urquidi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CSD Concepción were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Res Non Verba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgardo Soto Tapia took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Edgardo Soto Tapia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mingo Camporredondo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mingo Camporredondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calixto Urquidi in the 32nd minute of the match. Mingo Camporredondo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Felin's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute Sebastian Felin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mingo Camporredondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Soto Tapia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mingo Camporredondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, CSD Concepción's Edgardo Soto Tapia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mingo Camporredondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Res Non Verba's zone, Calixto Urquidi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mingo Camporredondo came out of the goal and Calixto Urquidi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With an all-out effort, CSD Concepción's Mingo Camporredondo threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damazy Warka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edgardo Soto Tapia hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Edgardo Soto Tapia kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Mingo Camporredondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CSD Concepción made a substitution. Manuel Antonio Amenábar replaced Sebastian Felin. After 64 minutes Res Non Verba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Res Non Verba's Gabirel Chapital got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Antonio Amenábar couldn't finish the play. Edgardo Soto Tapia was slow to take the kick. During this time CSD Concepción's players had a chance to rest. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CSD Concepción had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
