Zé Paulo Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Amorim in the 10th minute of the match. San Lorenzo's Zé Paulo Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Müller in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Chicão Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Valadares. San Lorenzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chicão Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
