The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustav Ahlrot got free with Harvey Smith in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38thth minute of the game Sven-Edvin Lindkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Harvey Smith was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustav Ahlrot got free with Harvey Smith in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien Blake in the 45th minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's Harvey Smith got control of the ball when Gustav Ahlrot tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ethan Stiles made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Damien Blake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Chong Le saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ethan Stiless short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Du Chong Le to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 63rd play minutes Gustav Ahlrot shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Harvey Smith and just under the crossbar into goal. Du Chong Le made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Stiles in the 66th minute of play. Harvey Smith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Ahlrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes FC Shakhtar Donetsk got a freekick which was hit by Jake Thorn. In the 75th minute, Jake Thorn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the FC Shakhtar Donetsk defense, Alexander Nilsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Smith. The FC Shakhtar Donetsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Smith should have stopped the shot. Harvey Smith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Lindkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Nilsson scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harvey Smith, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustav Ahlrot in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harvey Smith prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, FC Shakhtar Donetsk's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Ahlrot came free, but Harvey Smith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Sven-Edvin Lindkvist made a precise shot to the right of Harvey Smith. FC Shakhtar Donetsk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Djurgården IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
