The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lu Ladron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Józef Wandzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Motta Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dudu Hermes took the corner. The corner ended in Dudu Hermes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Józef Wandzik did a great save. 10 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Zbyszko Walkowski came free, but Aírton de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armandinho Carvalho in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Józef Wandzik, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th minute, Motta Futebol Clube's Freddie Vennerberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Józef Wandzik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Przemyslaw Przybylo in the 18th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aírton de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Carvalho came free, but Józef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Przemyslaw Przybylo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Armandinho Carvalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Józef Wandzik skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 31 minutes into the match, Zbyszko Walkowski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima. Aírton de Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Józef Wandzik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Milosz Ikalewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 43 in the game by Armandinho Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Józef Wandzik managed to make a qualified save. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Przemyslaw Przybylo made the kick off in the second half. Armandinho Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima got control of the ball when Przemyslaw Przybylo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Motta Futebol Clube's Luizão Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Walkowski in the 74th minute of play. Motta Futebol Clube's Artur Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute Armandinho Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Józef Wandzik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armandinho Carvalho in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Józef Wandzik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the game, Motta Futebol Clube's Armandinho Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Józef Wandzik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Cosmos 1984 NewDance made a substitution. Remigiusz Barys replaced Milosz Ikalewicz. Armandinho Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Józef Wandzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Józef Wandzik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Artur Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Józef Wandzik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Józef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Carvalho in the 93rd minute of play. Motta Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cosmos 1984 NewDance for a fine match.
