The supporters of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC booed when Acilia Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Illan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Inaki Mirabal came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inaki Mirabal couldn't finish the play. Ciro Moscatelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Scofield Vinciguerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acilia Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Scofield Vinciguerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Janpier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Todd Gronow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Moscatelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 35th minute Franco Ucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acilia Town were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Tozzi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Diego Tozzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Janpier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scofield Vinciguerra. Todd Gronow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Moscatelli having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieguinho Tande to make the kick off. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Ciulei in the 52nd minute of play. Todd Gronow who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Ciro Moscatelli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Todd Gronow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ciro Moscatelli made a huge save. Abelardo Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Ciulei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Moscatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Nafarroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Tande came free, but Abelardo Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Gronow got free with Ciro Moscatelli in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Andreas Harlén replaced Ildefonso Foro. Ciro Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Etxepare in the 85th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Gerardo Etxepare cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ciro Moscatelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th match minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Todd Gronow to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goalkeeper Ciro Moscatelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todd Gronow. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
