Spectators: 865 (Terracing: 649, Seating: 199, VIP seats: 17) ADM Taquaras's Oliver Bierhoff started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Dorian Valladares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeremias Moreno. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Herberto Ribas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 18th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Boldrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Industrial FC's zone, Oliver Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Boldrini came out of the goal and Oliver Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Bierhoff in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Boldrini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. César Boldrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Valladares came free, but Jeremias Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Bierhoff in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Boldrini saved Vila Industrial FC from getting behind. The corner ended in Malcolm Westerberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini did a great save. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Dorian Valladares took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jeremias Moreno to make any attempt to save it. Denílson Tepedino took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Boldrini. César Boldrini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 45 minutes into the game, ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. César Boldrini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Valladares to make the kick off. Áron Bódogs short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got César Boldrini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, Dorian Valladares notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno. Jeremias Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vila Industrial FC's Jan-Erik Ryberg was substituted for Paulinho de Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 68th minute of play forced Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper César Boldrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Boldrini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Áron Bódog showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 70 minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Benedicto Obano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Industrial FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Obano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Malcolm Westerberg in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vila Industrial FC's Aleksandr Leonov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 84th minute of play forced Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper César Boldrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Boldrini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Áron Bódog in the 85th minute. César Boldrini was a little too slow when Denílson Tepedino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 4-4. In the 95th minute, Benedicto Obano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vila Industrial FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. ADM Taquaras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vila Industrial FC had won, even though ADM Taquaras had held more of the ball.
