Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 11th minute of play. LavAzzA's attentive Fred Feuerstein managed to snatch the ball when Gábor Hellinger made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugó Révész got free with Iwan Lepucki in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Lekubegi might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaudencio Lekubegi ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Keszi Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Lekubegi came free, but Claudinho Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keszi Athletic's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 25th minute of play forced Keszi Athletic's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LavAzzA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amerigo Labarra in the 26th minute. It was a well-played corner which Gaudencio Lekubegi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Keszi Athletic getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Hugó Révész hit a great ball. LavAzzA's Gaudencio Lekubegi got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the LavAzzA defense, Hugó Révész kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Lepucki. The LavAzzA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Lepucki should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, LavAzzA's goal looked a bit too open when Hugó Révész came free, but Iwan Lepucki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwan Lepucki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugó Révész went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Claudinho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi in the 38th minute of the match. When Gaudencio Lekubegi came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the LavAzzA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Lekubegi couldn't finish the play. Hugó Révészs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Iwan Lepucki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Keszi Athletic made a substitution. Kornél Kerekes replaced Anton Kutnjak. Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led LavAzzA's Franc Fabra to fire away a dangerous shot which Claudinho Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Keszi Athletic made a substitution. Márton Lengyel replaced Özkan İlhan. A collision led to LavAzzA getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fred Feuerstein hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugó Révész in the 82nd minute of play forced LavAzzA's goalkeeper Iwan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Keszi Athletic's zone, Gaudencio Lekubegi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Taffarel came out of the goal and Gaudencio Lekubegi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LavAzzA made a substitution. Dennis Abendroth replaced Fred Feuerstein. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Keszi Athletic had won after a very even match.
