In the 6th minute of the match, Ernest Kleinman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Selahaddin Esentürk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Heiko Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mati Magen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Selahaddin Esentürk threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kevin Newman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 12 minutes into the match, Mati Magen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heiko Som. De Ontembare Leeuwen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mati Magen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute, Mati Magen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AMLUCHO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Heiko Som showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nélson Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Mati Magen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AMLUCHO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mati Magen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Nélson Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Som saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AMLUCHO's Selahaddin Esentürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Newman in the 31st minute of play. De Ontembare Leeuwen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raymond Heersprink in the 32nd minute. Heiko Som showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mati Magen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kevin Newman to make the kick off. Selahaddin Esentürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco Hoving in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mati Magen in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Som prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Heiko Som made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Mati Magen sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to AMLUCHO getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jackie Banks hit a great ball. Mati Magens short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Heiko Som to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Selahaddin Esentürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Kleinman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mati Magen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Heiko Som made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, AMLUCHO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jackie Banks to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Jackie Banks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When AMLUCHO's Lionel-Andrés Messia in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
