After 7 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Bîndean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kamal Pahlevi made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Vasile Angelescu sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the FC Inter Craiova defense, Leonard Treppa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Bîndean. The FC Inter Craiova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Bîndean should have stopped the shot. Leonard Treppa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Bîndean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Prisecaru got free with Kamal Pahlevi in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petre Prisecarus short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Kamal Pahlevi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Bîndean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Treppa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kamal Pahlevi was a little too slow when 蔡飞耀 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-2. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Craiova's 蔡飞耀 got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Leonard Treppa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Treppa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Bîndean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamal Pahlevi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Prisecaru in the 55th minute of the match. David Bîndean was a little too slow when Leonard Treppa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-3. After having played for 65 minutes, Radomil Barciniak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Barciniak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonard Treppa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of David Bîndean when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 74 played minutes FC Inter Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Focșa. Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua was substituted for Leonard Treppa. The supporters of Tirant lo Blanch booed when FC Inter Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Focșa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmen Paniagua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kamal Pahlevi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Maghiran in the 82nd minute of play. Jorge Carmona might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Bîndean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Carmona ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 89 minutes, Carmen Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmen Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FC Inter Craiova supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tirant lo Blanch's performance. The match ended with a win for Tirant lo Blanch.
