In the 9th minute Hemming Glykær shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Sarnat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ahmet Baki Lebib got free in front of the goal in the 16th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ted Kobbeltvedt was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Zhuo Jing Shi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the FC Drik defense, Zdzislaw Krzynowek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. The FC Drik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Kobbeltvedt should have stopped the shot. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Lebib in the 30th minute of the match. Ted Kobbeltvedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Baki Lebib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Drik getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gunvald Mitens hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Baki Lebib in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Kobbeltvedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Drik's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hamílton Vergílio was slow to take the kick. During this time FC GIDLE's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Christer Belzner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt did a great save. Ernst Barskov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Artur Sarnat firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ahmet Baki Lebib scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Drik's Calvin Townsley was substituted for Gunvald Mitens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Baki Lebib in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Lebib in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The corner led FC GIDLE's Hamílton Vergílio to fire away a dangerous shot which Ted Kobbeltvedt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, FC GIDLE's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Schubring came free, but Artur Sarnat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Christer Belzner took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Ted Kobbeltvedt to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomasz Skikiewicz in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Kobbeltvedt saved FC Drik from getting behind. When the match was over FC GIDLE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Drik throughout the match.
