After 14 played minutes Deportivo Rodriguez got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Aguirre. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualterio Aguirre in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Santoro saved Urbs LC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Di Marzio in the 31st minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Amadeo Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Di Marzio in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Urbs LC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Beppe Aversano hit a great ball. Willie Staton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Eugenio Santoro made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ennio Di Marzio made the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Rodriguez's Amadeo Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Di Marzio in the 54th minute of play. Amadeo Roma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Di Marzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeo Roma stood somewhat misplaced when Gilberto Hats came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 60 minute.
