Alexander Tan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Olsson having to make a save. In the 8th minute Alexander Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiberiu Florescu during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to North Hill United getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tiberiu Florescu hit a great ball. Joos Teurfs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Nilsson in the 11th minute of play. Joos Teurfs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julien Staffelbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Tan came free, but Jimmy Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexander Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson got control of the ball when Alexander Tan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's Albin Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joos Teurfs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Tan in the 28th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joos Teurfs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joos Teurfs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Nilsson in the 30th minute of play. When North Hill United's Alexander Tan in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Linköpings AIK's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Alexander Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Olsson was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Tan got free with Jimmy Olsson in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arvid Carlsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, North Hill United's Bengt Svanér seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bengt Svanér the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of North Hill United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bengt Svanér had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in North Hill United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Joos Teurfs had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Willy Witarya's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kęstutis Survila charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kęstutis Survila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, North Hill United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kęstutis Survila to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match, Willy Witarya got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joos Teurfs was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Albin Nilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Joos Teurfs made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Nils Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. North Hill United's Carel Impens was substituted for Tiberiu Florescu. North Hill United made a substitution. Steff Berckmans replaced Kęstutis Survila. Nils Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. North Hill United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Steff Berckmans in the 74th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Frederick Vereeken heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Linköpings AIK's Stefan Blomqvist got a free kick in the 79th minute. Julien Staffelbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Joos Teurfs made a huge save. In the 84th minute of the match, Julien Staffelbach got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joos Teurfs was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joos Teurfs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Tan in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy Olsson saved Linköpings AIK from getting behind. After 97 played minutes North Hill United got a freekick which was hit by Carel Impens. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Joos Teurfs successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The North Hill United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Linköpings AIK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
