Nikolay Bonkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walter Carter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nikolay Bonkov made a huge save. Walter Carter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolay Bonkov having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Zsigmond Tímár reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nikolay Bonkov. The goal made the score 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Harun Mustafa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nikolay Bonkov, 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Nikolay Bonkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Carter. In the 41st minute, Antony Best hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fitz Lambley was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Gerry Cheeseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Harun Mustafa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Bonkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikolay Bonkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsigmond Tímár, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fitz Lambley got free with Cristinel Tomulescu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fitz Lambley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cristinel Tomulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garlic Eaters made a substitution. Justin Collingwood replaced Noel Broom. Green Zombies made a substitution. Lóránt Saághy replaced Roland Magos. Green Zombies's Mihály Hidegkúti was substituted for Zsigmond Tímár. In the 75th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavol Stano to maneuver through the defense. Garlic Eaters's Greg Gavan got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Green Zombies got a freekick which was hit by Géza Tótfalusi. Greg Gavan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Cristinel Tomulescu made a huge save. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Antony Best hit a great ball. Nikolay Bonkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihály Hidegkúti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jasper Attwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikolay Bonkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Schiacciacasse in the 90th minute of play. Marius Prestin's late challenge caught a Garlic Eaters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marius Prestin helped the player get up and apologised. Marius Prestin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Garlic Eaters players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Green Zombies.
