Golden Hills were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Porvoon Futura's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santo Sparks took the corner. Golden Hills's Santo Sparks was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francesco Toldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Co Vid, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Egil Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Co Vid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Big Fart hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Henrik Höijer in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Hills's Orville Hough. Sandy Hollandsworth hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Co Vid made the kick off in the second half. Francesco Toldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoffrey Vasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Geoffrey Vasquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Hills fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Bellamy in the 65th minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Golden Hills were awarded a corner. Santo Sparks went to the cornerflag to take it.
