The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Urban Wennerlund the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of BK Ugglan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Urban Wennerlund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BK Ugglan! Patrik Fagrell had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Lorenzo Haltinner's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 13th minute Lorenzo Haltinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olov Skoglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrik Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Raich in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Remy Nescher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remy Nescher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patric Fribäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dieter Eberle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, BK Ugglan's Patrik Fagrell got control of the ball when Konrad Cakir tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was Lorenzo Haltinner who took care of the corner kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilhelm Kinnman was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dominic Ott made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Fagrell. BK Ugglan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Bror Bruhn's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bror Bruhn helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when BK Ugglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Bruhn didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Haltinner in the 58th minute of play forced BK Ugglan's goalkeeper Patrik Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Wilhelm Kinnman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieter Eberle came out of the goal and Wilhelm Kinnman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrik Fagrell came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Lorenzo Haltinner. But to his dismay, Lorenzo Haltinner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 64 minutes into the game, Jakob Hedlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Ugglan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Dortmund the free kick. After 65 played minutes BK Ugglan got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Hedlund. Wiktor Anselius kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund's Konrad Cakir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrik Fagrell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Borussia Dortmund's Dieter Eberle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Kinnman in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Raich in the 87th minute of play forced BK Ugglan's goalkeeper Patrik Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrik Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Nescher, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Boris Raich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. BK Ugglan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
