After having played for 4 minutes, Zeca Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morabem EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stefan Strömbom's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Cido Peres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Morabem EC booed when Huaröd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Alén didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Morabem EC's Cris Ronaldo in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huaröd's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Esteves in the 18th minute of play forced Huaröd's goalkeeper Tord Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Veiga during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Morabem EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Veiga to maneuver through the defense. When Pål Hellström fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huaröd's protests and gave Pål Hellström a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Huaröd got a freekick which was hit by Pål Hellström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Esteves in the 25th minute of play forced Huaröd's goalkeeper Tord Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Forsberg having to interfere. The Morabem EC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Morabem EC's Christian Gomes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Stefan Strömbom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cido Peres. That made the score 1-2 in the 39 minute of play. Morabem EC's Cido Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Brogren in the 44th minute of play. Mito Kroos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sture Brogren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cido Peres came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Huaröd's Joar Valrot. But to his dismay, Joar Valrot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cido Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joar Valrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Huaröd's Stefan Strömbom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cido Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Stefan Strömbom scored 4-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cido Peres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeca Esteves in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tord Forsberg saved Huaröd from getting behind. Pål Hellström kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Cido Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Morabem EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Brogren came free, but Cido Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Morabem EC's Cido Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Brogren in the 80th minute of play. Cido Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Strömbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Stefan Strömbom succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Huaröd fans cheered their team off the field, for while Morabem EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
