Higinio Luzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Luzea in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Chilavert saved F.C. 1670 Nassau from getting behind. Gaetano Scirea kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes F.C. 1670 Nassau got a freekick which was hit by Fouad Ziani. In the 39th minute of the match Estrellas de Caballito got a corner. F.C. 1670 Nassau's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Igor Erruki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Higinio Luzea made a great header on Estrellas de Caballito's corner, it was just that F.C. 1670 Nassau's José Chilavert managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Luzea in the 42nd minute of play forced F.C. 1670 Nassau's goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes, Estrellas de Caballito's Benicio Mateo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Chilavert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estrellas de Caballito reached it. Fausto Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. F.C. 1670 Nassau were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Estrellas de Caballito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cheb Harkouk took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

69 minutes into the game, F.C. 1670 Nassau's Leon Medjiba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nunez Astudillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. José Chilavert didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Estrellas de Caballito's Alberto Refugio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Higinio Luzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but José Chilavert made a huge save. In the 86th minute of the match Igor Erruki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Chilavert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Higinio Luzea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Chilavert. That made the score 2-2 in the 96 minute of play.
