When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Válbson Paiva sped through Criciúma Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tiburcio Haces. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Denis Serra hit a great ball. Tiburcio Haces made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Secco in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cadu Team had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
